See this smile? This is from when I looooooved to run. I loved it so much that I did it every day. I had an enthusiasm that was contagious. I craved the run and the psychological release that pounding the pavement provided. Whenever race day rolled around, I was super crazy excited. I would look forward to these events like a kid at a candy store. But somewhere along my journey I lost this drive, Continue reading Chapter 2: The return of the muchness
“Just a little old 5K with just one hill” That is how the Brasstown Bald Buster 5K advertises their race. This race is held annually every December in Blairsville, GA. Brasstown Bald is touted as the highest elevation in the state. When I first saw the advertisement for the race I reached out to my friends to see who was up for a girl’s weekend in the mountains. LocoMotion does not have any paid staff or office space, so every dollar raised goes to provide charitable grants to breast cancer related organizations. The event is held in the Continue reading Going Loco on Daufuskie Island. LocoMotion Day 1 Recap!

Heather, what is the story with your socks? Well, have a seat and I will tell you… I am a runner. I love to run. I identify myself as a runner. When people ask me what I am doing for the weekend, they qualify “other than running”. So what does a runner do when they are told that they can’t run? Cry? Scream? Throw things? Eat Ben and Jerry’s in your pajamas on the couch Continue reading That Crazy Sock Girl
